Nick's 30th Birthday Bash!

Howdy! We've had lots of fun lately! Nick turned 30 on the 16th! And of course we had to have a bash! This year - we had a WHITE TRASH BASH! Oh my heavens! We had so much fun planning the party!

What a sexy tat Paige!!

We frequented the DI- and bought many exciting ... treasures! Including new furniture! We redecorated our house! It blew some people away! No trailer is complete without a singing fish, collectibles, tacky decor, and horns! We even got wicker plate holders, and napkins from fast food restaurants. We moved out our kitchen table, and moved in the patio furniture!

As our guests started arriving at our 'double-wide'- we could hardly contain our excitement! We had SO much fun! We had everyone dress up like "white trash!" We had hunters, sluts, plenty of beer, cigarettes, gomer teeth, belt buckles, hats, and trashy tattoos! We've never laughed so hard! The dress-up was the highlight of the evening!

We served junk food, had a Twinkie Eating Contest, a 'doobie rollin' contest, and we even drug a couch behind the truck! Yes - we were true WT!

And in the middle of our bash - a repo guy showed up at our house, looking for our neighbors so he could repo their car! It was a highlight!

We know this is a lengthy slide-show, but we hope you enjoy some of our highlights!

To continue the birthday celebration, we went to Vegas, and spent a few days - just relaxing! We ate at Cheesecake Factory - our all time favorite! And we saw Reba in concert! She was amazing! And - - Barbara Jean from the TV show 'Reba' was there too - and did a comedy act! We had a great time!

I am so thankful for Nick, even though he is an old fart!! :) He is such a great husband, and I am so blessed to be able to call him mine!

The Holidays!

Well - It has been a long time since we posted! We hope that every had a great Christmas! We sure did!

On Christmas Eve, we headed to Paige's moms. Luey had a great dinner prepared! Paige's brother Mike, and his wife Summer came down! And as usual - Mike was the life of the party! It was so fun to be able to spend some time with them! We had lots of laughs as we played catch phrase, and the hand slap game!

Paige worked on Christmas morning for a few hours, so of course the little children in us- we got up at 330 to see what Santa had brought us!

Nick being surprised!

Paige being surprised!

We had decided that we would keep Christmas low key - cause we've had so many fun adventures this year! But Paige is not very good at keeping the rules - and she got Nick ....

His very first....

Hand Gun!

He was so surprised and excited!

After Paige got off work, we headed over to her Mom's for our traditional Christmas Breakfast! You've got to love Luey's Christmas Eggs and Monkey Bread! It was fun to spend time with Paige's brothers and sister!

Nick worked the day after Christmas, so after he got off, we headed to Minersville to visit his family!

On Saturday morning, we went to the farm with Nick's brother Gus. We got to feed the cows - and of course - no trip to the farm is complete without a ride in the tractor!

Nick - what a Sexy Farmer!

Us in the John Deere!

Nick's brother, Gus, was driving another tractor - and one of the lines froze- because it was so blasted cold out to the farm! So Nick had to steer while Gus worked the gears manually from OUTSIDE the tractor! I had quite a few laughs watching them! They eventually got their telepathy going - and it became a smooth operation!

Nick Headed over to check on Gus when his tractor froze!

A perfect operation!

Because they both had to operate one of the tractors - that left me - to drive the John Deere - pulling the full feed bucket - back to the shop - oh man - I was so nervous! and I went SO SLOW - but it was fun - I even sang "HE Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" to myself!

Then we went to check the water - and of course the pump had frozen over. So Nick and Gus set up the propane tank - got a flame going, and set out to thaw the pipes. Gus told me later, that Nick had propane fumes on his pants, and when they opened up the flame, Nick caught on fire. Of course Nick didn't tell me, cause he knew I would have freaked out! I seriously checked Nicks legs the rest of the day, and asked him a zillion times if he was okay!

Nick - coming out of the pump house!

Nick and Gus in the pump house.

The best part about waiting for the pipes to thaw - was that we got to go try out Nick's new gun! We headed out in the truck - to hunt rabbits! It was so much fun! I couldn't load Nick's clips fast enough! It was a good thing I bought a brick of 400 bullets! I even shot A rabbit - and of course - it was the ONLY one that cried! If you've every heard a rabbit cry - you know what I'm talking about - it was so sickening! I was done shooting after that!

NEW YEARS EVE

For New Years Eve we had some friends over for games, play the Wii, and breakfast! We had a great time! We hung out with Blair and Vanessa, Matt and Amanda, Troy and Andrea, and our friends Craig and Sarah were here from Connecticut! It was fun to hang out with them!

We hope everybody had a great holiday season, and we wish you all a great New Year!

Thanksgiving

This year we spent Thanksgiving with Paige's Mom. We had a great time! It was very low key - Paige's brother Mike, and Sister-in-law Summer came down from Salt Lake -and they are always a blast! Then it was just her brother Garrett and sister Aubrey. It was fun!

On Thanksgiving night, Nick's brothers 4 kids, Shakell 9, Aryale 7, Alyssa 4, Gus 3, came to stay with us for a few days! It was so fun! Thursday night we made gingerbread houses, and watched a movie.

Friday we went shopping! In the afternoon Paige took Shakell and Aryale shopping! They were so excited to go to a mall! Then we all met up at McDonald's! Cynthia, Nick's sister from Vegas, stopped by with her 4 kids on their way to Minersville! It was good to see them. Friday Night we took the kids to look at Christmas Lights - We went to a house in Paige's old neighborhood - They go all out! It was fun for the kids to see all the lights - then we went to the Temple for the Nativity. Gus just 'had to pet' the stable animals!

Saturday we went swimming at Sand Hollow. We took our neighbor Braxton (5) - We had a lot of fun - but it was very busy with just us and 5 kids! Shakell was such a help - all of the kids love the big slide - even Gus! They are all quite the swimmers!

When we got home we put up the Christmas Tree, and decorated our house! The kids loved it! Aryale was Paige's biggest helper! Then we ordered Pizza and watched a Christmas movie!

It was so fun to spend time with them! We had a blast! We love all of our nieces and nephews - and it is so fun to have them come stay with us!

We hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving as well!

Fall Adventures 2008

We have been very busy over the last month playing our little hearts out. It all started with the deer hunt in October. We had one day to spend in the hills with Nick's family looking for that colossal buck! Of course we didn't find it, and as usual Nicks Dad's truck broke down, but we had a great time and utilized the time wisely on the four wheelers.

Nick, Paige, and our niece Shakell on the 4-Wheeler!

On our next adventure, we went to Connecticut to visit Nick’s college roommate, Craig and his wife Sarah. We had such a great time! We drove all over Connecticut, and we spent Halloween weekend in NYC, and a day in Boston!

Connecticut was so beautiful! We had two days to ourselves to drive around and explore! The foliage was so pretty- it is impossible for us to describe it, or capture it on a camera! We recommend a New England Autumn vacation for everyone!
Halloween in NYC was a riot! We saw so many interesting individuals! We spent some time in the city for our Honeymoon, but there were more crazies out for the Pagan Holiday! We stood in Time Square for awhile and admired the special souls! It was definitely a highlight of our vacation.

While we were in NYC, we saw two Broadway plays: Lion King and Mary Poppins! It was fun! The costumes at the Lion King were very cool!

We went to Boston for a day - and needless to say - it was not enough time! We ate lunch at ‘Cheers!’ Walked some of the Freedom Trail, and took a tour bus around the city. We also took pictures at the duck park – where the book, “Make Way for Ducklings” is based! Nick was making Paige and Sarah laugh so hard with his duck poses! We can't wait to go back and visit! There is so much history in Boston!

Lastly, we traveled to California this past week. We went with our neighbors Troy and Andrea, and their kids Braxton and Tanner. And we took our 4 year old niece, Alyssa. We flew to LA! It was the kids first time on a plane! Alyssa and Braxton were so excited! As we took off out of Vegas, Alyssa told Paige that the plane was tickling her tummy and her….special place! We laughed so hard, and had to change the subject quickly!

When we got to LA, we headed over to Disneyland – for 2 fun filled days! The weather was perfect, even a little warm! Having Alyssa and Braxton was so fun, because they are both so daring, and love rides! We went on all of the adult rides, except for a few that they weren’t tall enough for! They only got scared a couple of times!

Saturday we went swimming at the condo, and we went to the Beach! It was Alyssa’s first time seeing the ocean! She loved it! She made a sand castle with Andrea, and enjoyed collecting sea shells! That afternoon, we visited the San Diego Temple; it is gorgeous! And we went to the U of U game! It was a blow out – we had a great time, it was fun to be there! Troy said it was his favorite part!

Sunday we drove all over LA. We went to Hollywood, and Beverly Hills, we drove down Rodeo and Mulholland drive! We had a great time! We also went to the LA Temple!

It was a great vacation! We enjoyed spending time with our friends, and getting some one on one time with Alyssa!

Fall

Fall brings us so many things - and we thought we'd update everyone on some of our favorite fall stuff!!

The wonderful world of DVR
We decided that with the new fall television season - DVR was an essential purchase. So we gave in and got dish! Wahoo! Basically DVR has been a real time saver - because we can fast forward through the commercials - and now we have the pleasure of viewing 3 of our favorite shows in a two hour window! Okay - so now we sound like we are seriously addicted - well... we try not to be. We are only really attached to a few shows - CSI, Law in Order, and The Office - is a must!! Nick is really the addicted one - because now our HDTV has a beautiful picture!

Get Aways!
Next weekend we will be in Minersville for the deer hunt. Oh what fun! - If you think Paige is being serious please refer to our blog about the stock show! :)

Nick - The Fearless Hunter! Deer Hunt 2007

At the end of the month we are headed to see our fabulous friends Craig and Sarah in Connecticut. We are excited to visit New York again, and see Boston! Plus New England in the Fall - need we say more? We can't wait!

And last but not least - Another trip with our great neighbors Troy and Andrea - we are so excited to go an another vacation with them! This will be our fourth vacation with them this year!! Earlier this year we went together to San Francisco for Nick's Birthday, Las Vegas in the Summer for Paige and Andrea's Birthdays, and Midway just last month! We are going to Disneyland and a UofU game in San Diego! We are so excited!

We hope you are all enjoying the fabulous fall weather! We sure are!

Midway

Over the weekend, we went on a mini-Vacation to Midway - with our neighbors Troy, Andrea and their two boys Braxton and Tanner.

On Friday we went to the Homestead to swim in the Crater - it was a blast! The water was 90 degrees, and 65 feet deep. The Crater circulates its water every 3 days - It was very relaxing - Nick keeps trying to tell me that it was my spa treatment for the month - forget it Nick! Our video camera is currently holding our pictures hostage - so here are some views off line -

We also rode on the Heber Creeper! Braxton is obsessed with trains! The ride was beautiful! We were able to sit in an open-air car! The weather was perfect! It was so fun to see all of the changing colors!

On Saturday we drove to Park City to ride the Alpine Slide - unfortunately for us - they closed the slide down because of rain and lightning. We were a little upset - because there had been a slight drizzle, and no lightning - Despite our multiple phone calls, from different cell phones and callers - imploring them to open the slide - they would not. Braxton even suggested they make a cover for the slide to keep it from getting wet!

We headed down the canyon, and decided to settle for bowling. It was Braxton's first time bowling - however, he is quite the expert on the Wii - and he currently holds the record on our Wii at 192!

We stopped for some Cheesecake Factory - our all time favorite!! Paige's brother Mike and his wife Summer came to join us!
As usual - the food was DIVINE!
